There are several banana trees planted in the small courtyard next to the street. It is our paradise. Several banana trees seem to be our loyal friends, accompanying us every day.
Looking from a distance, the banana tree looks like a graceful fairy. The trunk of the tree is straight and smooth, and the banana leaves stretch out in all directions, like the banana fan in Journey to the West. These huge "fans" provide us with shade and rain, which is really useful. The breeze blows, and the banana trees in the garden are dancing and waving enthusiastically to people.
Every April and May, the banana trees poke out purple buds, which are banana buds. Over time, the buds unfold to reveal small white buds. If you look closely, you will see that the flower buds are little bananas. The big buds are fully unfolded, and the rows of bananas are like curved crescents, arranged neatly, and they are extremely beautiful. When bananas are ripe, their fragrance is tangy and intoxicating. Looking at the golden banana, I couldn't help but peel it open gently. The flesh was yellow, chubby, and as bright as pearls. Take one bite, its fragrant, sweet and smooth, making you want to eat it again. Bananas are a cash crop, and the hard-working people in my hometown have embarked on the road to wealth by growing bananas.
I love the bananas in my hometown, and I love my hometown even more.
