Penguin (Spheniscidae)
Various short-legged, flightless waterbirds of the family Penguinidae, native to the Southern Hemisphere. They walk upright and awkwardly on land. They are covered with short, hard, scaly feathers. They mainly eat crustaceans, molluscs and fish. Penguins, known as the "Ship of the Ocean", are one of the oldest swimming birds. They may have settled in Antarctica before the earth wore ice armor.
