A kangaroo is any marsupial belonging to the order Kangaroo, a family of mammals, with a rat-like shape and a large body. The forelimbs are short, the hind limbs are thick, and they are good at jumping. The tail is thick and can support the body. Mainly found in parts of mainland Australia and Papua New Guinea. Some species are unique to Australia. Different species of kangaroos live in a variety of natural environments across Australia, from cool-climate rainforests and desert plains to tropical areas.
