Waterfall (geological noun)
In geology, waterfalls are called falling water, that is, river water falls vertically from high altitude when flowing through faults, depressions and other areas. During the course of a river, a waterfall is a temporary feature that will eventually disappear. The rate of erosion depends on the height of a particular waterfall, its flow rate, the type and structure of the rocks involved, and other factors.
