The story takes place one year after the end of the first part of the film. Dory, a blue tang who has always lost her memory, and the clownfish father and son became neighbors. They took care of each other in life and got along harmoniously. One day she went to school with Nemo. On the way, she encountered a family of migrating manta rays, which aroused her longing for home. Suffering from homesickness but unaware of her own life experience, Dolly decided to look for her parents. With the help of the clownfish Nemo and his father Marlin, she traveled from the Great Barrier Reef of Australia to the coast of California, but was accidentally captured by the Institute of Marine Biology.
