Sheep are the subfamily with the widest distribution and the most complex members of the Bovidae family. The members have large differences in body shape and habits, and can be divided into several different tribes. The division method is somewhat controversial. Members of the subfamily Ovisinae mostly live in plateau and mountainous areas, and their distribution center is in the hinterland of Asia.
