Bull sharks are smaller in size, with a relatively wider body than other sharks, a thick trunk, and a spindle-shaped body. The back of the body is dark gray on the sides and off-white on the ventral side. Male bull sharks can grow up to 2.1 meters long and weigh 90 kilograms. The female is larger, reaching 3.5 meters in length and weighing 230 kilograms. The bull shark has a broad and flat head, with a depression above and below the base of its tail. Bull sharks have round eyes and well-developed nictitating membranes. The anterior nasal valve is broadly triangular in shape; there are no oronasal grooves or vibrissae.
