Snow White is a character in a fairy tale widely popular in Europe. The most famous version of the story can be seen in the German "Grimms Fairy Tales" of 1812. . It tells the story of Snow White who was abused by her stepmother, the Queen (who was her biological mother in the original manuscript of the Brothers Grimm), and fled into the forest, where she met seven dwarfs. Historian Bartels said that the historical prototype of Snow White was Maria Sophia von Ertal, who was born in Lohr am Main in western Germany in 1725.
