bolivar

Simon Bolivar (July 24, 1783 - December 17, 1830), commonly known as Bolivar, was a Latin American revolutionary, militarist, politician, and thinker. He echoed Saint Martin and contributed to the South. Americas independence from the Spanish Empire played a key role. After winning the battle against the Spanish monarchy, Bolivar helped found Latin Americas first federation of independent states, Gran Colombia, and served as president of the country from 1819 to 1830. Simon Bolivar is recognized in Latin America as a hero, revolutionary and liberator. He led Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela to achieve independence and promoted the development of democratic ideology in these countries.
