elephant stag beetle

elephant stag beetle

I stood in front of the balcony of my house and looked at the scene outside. Suddenly, an unknown small beetle fell into the stainless steel washbasin on the balcony.

This small dark brown beetle is only as big as a grain of rice. There are two long whiskers on the head, swaying left and right, as if they are used to explore the road. There is an oval shell on the back with some patterns on it. This little beetle has four pairs of legs. The first two pairs of legs are used to step forward, the third pair of legs are used to stand, and the last pair of legs are used to kick back. It stretches and arches its body when it climbs up.

This little beetle seemed to feel trapped in the basin and tried to climb out. It climbed up from the front first, and saw its two long whiskers swinging constantly, its two pairs of front feet trying hard to stretch forward, and its back two pairs of feet kicking back hard, trying to climb up. But because the basin wall was too steep and slippery, the little beetle slipped down before climbing very high. When the front didn't work, it went around to the left again and repeated the climb up just now, but it still failed. It went around to the right again and failed again. Climbing up directly didn't work, so it changed its method and crawled sideways, but unfortunately, it still couldn't climb out of the basin. Time after time, one direction after another, it finally failed to climb out of the basin and gain freedom. It was finally dead and motionless.

However, the little beetle’s unyielding and unyielding spirit has been deeply imprinted in my mind. Its experience seems to be due to my ignorance, and its behavior seems to remind me of something...
