Eggwave’ is a container for holding eggs in the refrigerator. It was designed by Wertel Oberfell in collaboration with Tobias Schmidt and will be installed in all new Neff refrigerators.
The container is composed of two wavy panels that interlock with each other. The bottom layer is made of white plastic, and the transparent upper layer can be stretched to one side in three positions to hold different numbers of eggs. The design intention is to give cheap and mediocre daily utensils a sculptural perfect appearance and functional sophistication, so that boring objects can also have stunning details.
