To make a simple and beautiful Christmas tree, you don’t need to spend money or a lot of materials, as long as you have some discarded newspapers and magazines. It saves money and protects the environment, so why not?

1. Insert a long bamboo stick on the wooden base. If you can't find wood for a while, you can also use plastic foam or plastic medicine bottle caps instead.
2. Cut the collected old newspapers, expired magazines and other waste paper into squares of different sizes.
3. String the cut squares on the bamboo sticks one by one in order of size. The angles between each piece of waste paper are staggered to create a sense of hierarchy.
4. Insert all the waste paper squares into the bamboo skewers until about 2cm is left on the bamboo skewers.
5. Finally, insert the finished glittering five-pointed star on the top of the bamboo stick, and a Christmas tree made of waste items is completed.
Finally, let’s talk about how to make glittering five-pointed stars. You can go to a stationery store to buy Polygon stars and apply glitter on them with glue.
If you don’t want to buy ready-made stars, you can also use other decorative items instead, as you like.
