Many designers have actually proven how durable furniture made of cardboard is. Korean design studio PESI recently collaborated with a local cardboard manufacturer to use simply processed cardboard with PVC. Rivet, has launched a DIY side table series called Lumber. Lumber’s name comes from the way the side tables are assembled. The long rectangular modular parts are like wood and fixed through PVC rivets to form one small side table after another.

There are a total of six different styles of finished products.

PESI is the abbreviation of Possibility, Essential, Standpoint, and Interpretation. Their design purpose is to help cardboard find new design uses. It is from their point of view to reinterpret cardboard and help cardboard find new possibilities without losing the necessity of use.

Lumber is made by die-cutting compressed cardboard into rectangular wooden strips and then assembling it with PVC rivets. There are a total of six different styles of finished products, and the colors can be freely matched, or it can be a simple single color, or you can play a color contrasting game with colorful "wooden strips". It can be quiet or lively, adding more space to your home. Different options.
