Cardboard is a good material for handicrafts. Not only can you make some practical daily necessities, but the making process is also very interesting. Share a simple tutorial to make a useful multi-purpose bed table with cardboard. If you are interested, please read on!~
Its features include:
- Tablet stand
- Laptop Tray
- Cell phone holder
- Pen holder
- Glass and bottle holder
- Anything you want to place!
So let’s assume this is a 5-in-1 tray!
The top layer of the tray is removable so you can place it on a table.
Material Tools:
Card board, cardboard, white glue, ruler, pencil, scissors, paper knife, paper cutter, drill, 8 cm diameter paper tube, awl, etc.
1. Divide the paper tube into 4 pieces, each with a length of 25 cm.
2. These will be the legs for the bed table.
3. Paint them white to make them look better. But you can also keep the natural color.
4. Now cut out 2 equal rectangles from the cardboard, measuring 58 x 30 cm.
5. Use a drilling machine to cut 4 large holes on the four corners of the rectangular cardboard, 2 cm from the border. The hole cutter must be as large as the diameter of the paper tube.
Do this on two rectangular pieces of cardboard.
6. Cut 8 smaller cardboard discs, their diameter must be the same as the inner diameter of the paper tube.
7. Cut out 8 circles from white cardboard as big as the cardboard disc and glue them to the disc.
8. Apply white glue around the four discs and insert them into paper tubes respectively. The disc must be level with the bottom of the paper tube.
9. Starting from the top, measure the depth of the paper tube.
10. Insert the remaining 4 discs into the paper tube and push them until they reach the height you marked. Of course, you can also apply glue to these disks.
11. Draw and cut out the strips that will hold the tablet. The strips need to be 2cm thick and then the length of your tablet.
12. Stack the two rectangular cardboards, making sure the holes match up perfectly, and draw a small block in the middle of the strip (on top of the second rectangular cardboard).
13. Cut the small part, which is the hole for the tablets wires to go through.
14. Now draw and cut a smaller strip of 6cmx2cm about 2cm from the right side of the first rectangle.
15. Do the same thing on the left side. These handles help you lift the tray from the rest of the table.
16. Draw a large rectangle - 30cmx10cm - in the middle of the second cardboard rectangle. Draw a grid in it, with lines 2 cm apart from each other.
17. Use an awl to make holes where the lines intersect.
18. Once done, use a screwdriver or pencil (or anything similar) to make each hole larger.
19. These will be the cooling holes for the laptop.
20. Now insert the paper tube from the back of the second rectangular cardboard.
21. Apply glue to the paper tube and the seams between it and the cardboard.
22. Push the desktop down a little so that the paper tube extends about 1.5 cm.
13. Then insert the second rectangular cardboard into the top of the paper tube.
14. Your bed table is complete! You can use the top layer as a tablet holder and the second layer as a laptop table, while using the paper tubes to hold different items: glasses, bottles, pens and cell phones!
p>15. The top layer can be removed from this bed table and placed on any other surface to be used as a simple flat shelf!
