Tools and Materials:

Waste cardboard boxes (the air-conditioning packaging boxes used here), two pieces of gift wrapping paper, double-sided tape, transparent tape, utility knife, scissors, ruler, and compass.

Production steps:

Choose a relatively flat cardboard and cut it into a rectangle with a length of 81CM and a width of 29CM. Divide the cardboard into 6 equal parts along the longer side, and draw lines with a pen to make the body of the trash can.

Make a hexagonal trash can bottom with the same diameter as the inner diameter of the trash can.

After the bottom of the barrel is completed, the lid needs to be made. The lid needs to be made into two hexagons, one is the outer cover and the other is the lower cover for internal limit. The limit cover is one size smaller than the bottom of the barrel, and the outer cover is one size larger than the bottom of the barrel.

Put 6 equal parts of the rectangular cardboard into grooves according to the drawn lines so that it can be folded into shape. Connect the two ends of the cardboard and tape them together.

Press the cardboard at the bottom of the barrel and fix it on the barrel.

Cut the gift wrapping paper and join it with double-sided tape: 87CM long and 36CM wide. Then package the barrel. Use double-sided tape for joints or places that need to be fixed.

If you are afraid that the packaging paper at the bottom of the barrel will be worn out after long-term use, you must also install a rubber gasket at the bottom of the barrel (or make it yourself with cardboard and double-sided tape).

Cut three small cardboards to make a trash can lid handle. First, punch holes in two small cardboards and insert two thin iron wires into them to fix them. Then use transparent glue to fix the wires and cardboard, and then cover the third piece of cardboard with Secure the cover with transparent glue so that no traces of iron wire are visible on the handle. Finally wrap it in wrapping paper.
